ExecuJet is expanding its presence in Sydney, Australia, with the acquisition of an FBO to complement its existing maintenance, flight operations and administration facility.
The ExecuJet entity in the Middle East began in 1999 with a couple of managed aircraft and now boasts a managed fleet of over 20 aircraft. ExecuJet Middle East currently employs more than 195 staff and runs a state of the art maintenance and Fixed Based Operation at Dubai International Airport.
This year ExecuJet Middle East added two privately run aircraft to its managed fleet, including a Global XRS and Challenger 605. The company is now looking to enhance the charter proposition by adding additional aircraft over the coming months.
"We are especially pleased to participate at the Dubai Airshow this year as we celebrate 10 years in the Middle East," said Managing Director Mike Berry. "We are starting to see the first early signs of an upturn after what has been an unprecedented fall off in business aircraft flying in this region as a result of the global economic crisis, which has impacted tourism and progress on various regional development projects. In this context the show will be a terrific boast for the region and we will maximise our presence to network and take the opportunity to promote our full aviation services."
Expansion of Maintenance Support
ExecuJet Middle East has progressively expanded its capabilities in aircraft maintenance and technical support over its 10 years in business. The Middle East Maintenance division recently attained the Artex Level 1 Service Centre Approval, enabling it to carry out ELT reprogramming for aircraft registration changes. As part of its 10 year Middle East celebration, the company is offering a 10% discount on all scheduled maintenance labour booked or carried out between 1st November 2009 and 1st February 2010. The organisation is a Bombardier Authorised Service Facility, which specialises in the maintenance of Bombardier Learjet Series, Challenger Series and Global Express. It is also licensed on the Gulfstream G150 and G200 as an Authorised Service Facility and holds Part 145 Maintenance Approvals from 13 different national aviation authorities including Europe's EASA and the recently acquired Nigerian AMO Approval. It also has the added benefit of being a Honeywell Engine/APU and Avionics Service Centre and Rockwell Collins Business and Regional Systems Dealer. Its Mobile Repair station supports AOG situations and its engineers also hold entry-visas for Saudi Arabia and India.
ExecuJet's Dubai FBO currently handles approximately 120 movements a month, but during the Dubai Airshow it will be working to accommodate an expected increased number of business aircraft movements. ExecuJet is fully geared up to handle the overflow traffic and address the challenges presented by increased movements at a time when part of the airport is closed to accommodate aircraft on the static display.
