ExecuJet, part of the Luxaviation Group, has announced a successful Q2 for its Australia team, largely due to a series of new and ongoing maintenance initiatives. From May – August 2017, ExecuJet’s maintenance team in Australia provided customers with a preview of their high-speed internet technology; installed ADS-Bs; and performed a number of heavy maintenance operations.

The initiatives began with ExecuJet Australia showcasing the cutting-edge in-flight internet, offering customers at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport a trial of Honeywell’s new satellite communications capability.
Grant Ingall, Maintenance Director for ExecuJet Australia, says: “Following client demands for an on-board high-speed connection that seamlessly matches that available in the home or office, we are pleased to confirm that the KA band technology allows for full video streaming and stable FaceTime conferencing. Aircraft that do not have the technology installed at production can be modified at any one of ExecuJet’s 14 MROs.”
ADS-B modification performed on Embraer Phenom
ExecuJet Australia recently performed an ADS-B out installation on a Phenom 300 at their Melbourne Essendon Embraer Authorised facility. The installation required the complete removal of the Aircraft interior and instrument panel.
Rohan Coots ExecuJet’s Maintenance Manager in Melbourne says:
“Although the ADS-B was designed to be installed at the Factory our Avionics team were able to perform the installation with minimum disruption to the Aircraft systems once the access was provided”
MRO builds on China CRJ heavy maintenance
Q2 also brought the completion of a 96-month L16 inspection on an Embraer Legacy at ExecuJet’s Sydney Embraer Authorised facility, this follows on from a 5-year contract supporting heavy maintenance on China-based Bombardier CRJs.
Grant Ingall continues: “Our team consistently receive positive feedback from customers for our commitment to turnaround times, quality of workmanship and sound budgetary control; yet the support we offer doesn’t stop with heavy maintenance. We also provide spare parts and AOG maintenance throughout Asia-Pacific – for instance, we recently sent a licensed engineer to Ho Chi Minh City to work on two of our clients’ aircrafts concurrently, saving the clients both time and money.”
