About Mandela Day
Mandela Day, celebrating 10 years this year, is an international social movement celebrated each year on 18 July (Nelson Mandela's birthday) to honour late Mandela’s legacy of positive global change. The day is a global call to action celebrating the idea that each individual has the power to transform the world and the ability to make an impact with even small changes.
The Mandela Day campaign message is: “Nelson Mandela has fought for social justice for 67 years. We're asking you to start with 67 minutes.”
