David Van Den Langenbergh appointed chair of European Leaders Steering Committee
Luxembourg: Luxaviation Group is today announcing the appointment of David Van Den Langenbergh, President Aviation Services, Luxaviation Group, as the chair of the European Leaders Steering Committee (ELS), created byGeneral Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).
GAMA is an international trade association, that fosters and advances the general welfare, safety, interests and activities of the global business and general aviation industry. The new committee – ELS – has been created to act as the authoritative industry voice for the interest of the general aviation industry in Europe.
ELS’ vision is to help grow and increase safety operations across general aviation by engaging with senior European politicians and policymakers for regulatory changes, policy initiatives and communication strategies.
David Van Den Langenbergh, President Aviation Services, Luxaviation Group, says: “I’m very excited to have been elected by the board of GAMA to chair the European Leaders Steering Committee, and am looking forward to bringing my experience of the aviation industry to the ELS committee.
“Since the birth of aviation, it has always been about international operations exploring what’s beyond the horizon and crossing countries. When you think back to the greatest achievements in aviation, there has been the demonstration flights in Europe by the Wright brothers and Alberto Santos-Dumont demonstrating his airships and aircraft over the skies of Paris. All of this was made possible from the commitment of international authorities and manufacturers working together to make aviation one of the safest modes of transport. Going forward, the ELS committee will prove pivotal in helping the general aviation industry to continue to grow and thrive.”
